History

In 1970, Draper and Kramer Agency Corporation was developed to help with new insurance issues that Draper and Kramer Inc. and other elite groups of real estate leaders were experiencing due to the changing landscape of Chicago. An insurance agency that was adapted to Chicago’s changing real estate market was needed to provide professional expertise and insurance market involvement.

By being involved, during such an active real estate development period in Chicago, our agency developed skills that allowed us to be successful with fast paced and dynamic real estate developers. We also learned that insurance placement should not be a once a year transaction, but rather an ongoing responsibility that needs constant attention.

We carry these same lessons forward and continue to emphasize the importance of continuous involvement and communication with each of our clients. We develop new approaches that adapt the changes in the real estate industry so we continue to provide the best possible protection to their clients.

As members of various insurance and risk management associations, we broaden our awareness of new developments due to legislative changes and industry best practices. Some of our memberships include: Professional Insurance Agents of America (PIIAA), Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and Society of Environmental Insurance Professionals (SEIP).
